FAQ

See below for answers to your most frequently asked questions

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PORTRAIT?

The time it takes to receive your portrait will vary by how many clients are in the queue in front of you. Certain times of the year, such as the holiday season will result in longer lead times. When you book your order with me, I will provide you with an estimated ETA. Lead times generally range from 3 to 12 weeks.

CAN AN ORDER BE EXPEDITED FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE?

For special circumstances that require a rush delivery, there are times where I can expedite your order. There is an additional charge of 20% to do so. This means I will give your portrait priority over other orders in the queue, but only if it does not negatively impact my other clients.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU OFFER?

I accept Venmo, CashApp, Apple Pay and Zelle payments. Sorry, no personal checks are accepted.

ARE GIFT CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE?

A custom painted portrait makes a great gift! Contact me if you’d like to order an digital gift certificate for a special friend or family member. I can customize it for you and have it quickly delivered to your email inbox.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM SIZE PAINTINGS?

Absolutely! Have a unique size or project in mind? Let’s discuss!

DO YOU OFFER FRAMING SERVICES?

As frames are such a personal choice dependent on style preference and the décor where the portrait will be displayed, I have decided to focus solely on your portrait and do not offer matting or framing services at this time.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR PASTEL AND ACRYLIC PAINTINGS?

Acrylic paints are similar to oil paints, but are water-based instead of oil-based. They can be framed with or without glass. Pastel portraits are created with a combination of soft and medium pastel sticks and pastel pencils which are similar to colored pencils. Pastel portraits are treated with spray fixative when complete to provide protection from smudging should the surface be touched. They should ideally be framed under glass to protect them from dust, inadvertent contact, etc. The look and quality of my acrylic and pastel works are comparable. My acrylic and pastel works are identified accordingly in my gallery of portraits which can be seen here.

CAN YOU COMBINE MULTIPLE PHOTOS INTO ONE COMPOSITION?

Sure can! Send me your favorite pics and your ideas and we’ll work together to make it happen.

IS MY SATISFACTION GUARANTEED?

My business has been built entirely on delivering results that delight my clients, resulting in repeat customers, testimonials and referrals. Click here to see my satisfied clients and what they have to say. If you are not satisfied with your portrait upon receipt, I will do what I can to ensure your concerns are addressed. I have had only one occasion (in over 100 portraits done this past year), where a client returned a portrait to me for a minor revision. The changes were made and the portrait returned resulting in another happy customer.
